Sir Michael Gambon, also known as “Mike” was famous for acting as Hogwarts’ Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, but he also appeared in many productions of William Shakespeare’s works including Hamlet, Coriolanus, Othello, and Macbeth. He played as the Renaissance astronomer Galileo Galilei in The Life of Galileo, and he played many roles in period dramas such as Emma, Blood Royal: William the Conqueror, Little Women. He even gave voice to “The Prophet” from Elder Scrolls Online.

He was knighted for services to drama in 1998, becoming Sir Michael Gambon.
