Adamanta’s performance at the faire is definitely a MUST see and hear! Their music video “Conquer” is about highlighting a Pintados’ life and how they are parallels to European vikings.
 
It is about being “isug” (Brave), drinking alcohol, honoring our gods, and most importantly, raiding foreign lands for wealth and slaves.

Cebu symphonic folk power metal band, Adamanta is preparing for migration to Ren Faire PH 2024! And aside from the information on the video, what else do we know about the band?
 
Known for their distinctive musical style, Adamanta incorporates elements of Visayan pre-colonial warrior culture into their performances. The band comprises members Daphnie, known as the Nymph of the Woodland Realms; Elvin, the Bard; Henri Retulla, the Stormcaller; and Lyra, the Enchantress.
 
In their original composition, “Conquer,” the band presents a vivid portrayal of Visayan warriors, raiders, and seafarers through a compelling music video.
 
Adamanta shared, ““By channeling western European folk motifs, it’s a pull to those unfamiliar to Filipino culture that we, Visayans, were raiders, warriors, and seafarers similar to that of western Vikings.”
 
The musical saga awaits, and the stage is set for Adamanta to give warriors and wanderers an unforgettable night of metal, magic, and mayhem!

A Lecture on Recreating Marie Antoinette’s Dress from the Manga Innocent (Sewing Workshop)

The realm of Ren Faire PH is about to be graced by a truly remarkable guest! Introducing SJ de Ocampo a cosplay royalty hailing from the vibrant city of Davao!

SJ is no ordinary faire visitor, for they are a renowned cosplayer with a resume as impressive as a dragon’s hoard!

She has been bestowed with the honor of representing Philippines not once, but twice, on the sacred grounds of Japan! And aside from being an international cosplay ambassador, she has has also been into numerous local and international cosplay competitions as a distinguished judge.

But that’s not all, gentlefolk! SJ’s true specialty lies in the art of crafting. She creates the most astonishing, handcrafted costumes you’ve ever laid eyes upon – each piece being a testament of her being a master of of the needle and fabrics, a true alchemist of creativity.

Rejoice as she will sharing her knowledge at Ren Faire PH 2024, showing one of her masterpieces – a recreation of Marie Antoinette’s dress from the manga Innocent! Faire goers will have a chance to take a closer look on the piece as SJ shares the step-by-step process, from drafting patterns to sewing the dress and even how to wear it. A Q&A session will be held at the end of the lecture to cover any inquiries, and everyone is welcome to attend for free, sewing enthusiasts or even just curious historical fans!

Performances To Look Forward To: Historical Archers PH (HAP)

Historical Archers PH (HAP) is the home of Filipino archers practicing all manner of traditional and historical archery. As a video game concept artist, Pip possesses the extraordinary ability to translate abstract ideas into stunning visual concepts for video games. His illustrations also grace the pages of D&D campains, capturing the essence of epic quests and the magic of the dice.

With a heart with passion for gaming and art, he is a masterful storyteller through creative visuals, breathing life into realms and ideas that players and art enthusiasts can’t help but be entranced by. His arts are nothing short of legendary. He is one of the magic behind the scenes, and Ren Faire PH is elated for the talent he is lending us.

Ren Faire PH Tickets

The council has finally spoken, ticket details shall be released this coming November 15th! We are thrilled to tell you all the glad tidings, and here’s a wee bit of what to expect on the release date.

Let’s start with the ticket price! General admission shall start at ₱350 and there will be a special pricing for our young adventurers and “keepers of the forest.” Depending on the ticket you purchase, you will have access to all day activities, as well as programs after sun down. But that’s not all! Keep an eye out for more surprises coming your way and for updates on how and where to secure your tickets!

Tickets are your golden key to this enchanting realm, they will be LIMITED, and they will surely vanish faster than a sorcerer’s spell! Be one of the adventurers to secure their entry to the festivity and may your excitement for this enchanting day of festivities be as boundless as the realm we’re about to enter!
