The oldest Ren Faire is the Renaissance Pleasure Faire of Southern California which begun in the spring of 1963 as a commercial reenactment of a 1580s market faire at Port Deptford, an Elizabethan-era waterfront town. Fascinating, isn’t it? 🤓
