Just like the western nations that celebrate their faires in the great outdoors, regardless of the weather. The festivities in Ren Faire PH will continue whether the sun is beaming brightly in the sky or the rain is dropping lightly on the ground!

Protect yourselves from the elements with your cloaks, hats and parasols. Smother your face and body with sunscreen so as to not bake from the sun. Feel free to wear your themed attire, but please be mindful of your comfort and how you’ll move about the kingdom. Choose the most comfortable garb to ensure you don’t stumble or fumble through the realm.

In the event of extreme weather, the organizers may move the event to the following week for everyone’s safety and comfort.

Anyone interested may join by becoming a:
A. Commissioner (person who posts bounty)
B. Bounty hunter (person who searches for the wanted criminal and puts them in the pillory)

Visit the WANTED Board to view the commissions listed or to scribe your commissions.

How the activity works:
โ€ขThe commissioner goes to the Wanted board and posts their wanted requests
โ€ขThe Bounty Hunter takes a photo of the Wanted poster. Searches for the wanted criminal, then brings him to justice through the Pillory. And, claims his bounty.

*take note all criminals must consent to being taken as a criminal and put at the pillory, should a person resist, the bounty may not be claimed.
*Criminals may only be surrendered alive
*as long as criminals fit the description in the guards eyes, then, the Bounty Hunter may receive the bounty.
*Bounty Hunting is only available durings Days 2 and 3 of the Faire

A Challenge Has Been Launched!

Many have inquired if there will be LARPing at this year’s faire, and the Queen has answeredโ€”yes!ย Neutral Partyย will host a grand LARP challenge for all LARPers in the realm. Daily battles will be held to determine which guild stands strongest among all.

Each guild must muster at least 15 of their finest warriors to be recognized. Lone warriors without a guild, or those from guilds numbering fewer than 15, may enlist under the banner of Midrealms LARP.

Heed this call! Rally your troops and prepare for war! Registration details will follow once tickets are released.

For Day 2 of the faire, weโ€™re diving into an epic theme: Greek Gods vs. Mortals!

Will you embody a powerful god, immortal and mighty, with dominion over nature and human life? Perhaps you have your own vision of how these divine beings might appear if they walked the earth today. Or, will you take on the role of a brave mortal, defying fate and standing against the will of the gods? Heroes who carve their own destinies, challenging the divine order.

Whether you choose to portray the gods from ancient legends or the heroic mortals from epic tales, let the grandeur of our venue transport you to a time when gods walked among us. Feel free to bring your own twistโ€”be a mortal hero-turned-demigod, or create an original god or goddess of your own making.

The History of Faires

๐—ช๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—™๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ?

A Renaissance faire is an outdoor event that recreates the atmosphere of the Renaissance and Medieval periods, with a focus on life in the 16th century. Fun fact: the very first Ren Faire is credited to the 1963 Renaissance Pleasure Faire in California, USA! This event came about during a time when many in the film industry, affected by the suspicion and repression of communism, were struggling to find work. Phyllis and Ron Patterson were the visionaries behind it, with Phyllis hoping to inspire young people by bringing historyโ€™s greatest themes to life.
Historically, fairesโ€”then known as Medieval or Charter fairesโ€”were religious celebrations lasting two to three days. Over time, as merchants gathered in church courtyards, these events became bustling marketplaces, blending commerce with cultural and social activities. Performers like jugglers, magicians, dancing bears, and mystery plays helped to draw crowds, making the fairs not just about business but also about entertainment. Merchants would often team up with these entertainers to attract more customers to their stalls.
The success of the 1963 Renaissance Pleasure Faire inspired the rise of many similar events, shaping the Ren Faire into what it is today. Though some still use the term “Medieval Faire,” most have gravitated toward “Renaissance Faire” or simply “Ren Faire,” as the Medieval period is often called the Dark Ages. Some Ren Faires stick to historical accuracy, while others embrace fantasy, featuring fairies, magical creatures, and themed days for interactive fun.
Here at Ren Faire PH, we strive to create an authentic Ren Faire experience while proudly incorporating our own Filipino culture and history. Our goal is not only to immerse our audience in the world of medieval and Renaissance life but also to bridge the gap in understanding and appreciation of Philippine culture and history.
